| Job Title: Maintenance Technician Plumber / Fitter - Scotland |
| Description |
| The maintenance technician (plumber / fitter) will be responsible for maintaining a range of services, plant, equipment and building fabric within the companies†schools estate. The technician will support the supervisor in the effective delivery of the planned and unplanned maintenance activities across the estate.
Are you a qualified plumber / fitter with higher qualifications? Are you an experienced multi-skilled building services Engineer with the ability to diagnose faults on large educational, commercial and industrial systems? Do you also possess? Gas service engineer qualifications, Experience of working as a gas service engineer, Commercial gas qualifications, COCN1,CORT1,CAGA1,TCPC1,TCPC1A,CCCN1, City and Guilds 2391 qualification or equivalent for inspection and testing of fixed wire installations, OASH working safely, Legion Ella awareness, PASMA, portable access equipment, IPAF, powered access platforms, Understanding and application of safe systems of work and Electricity at work regs. And Knowledge and application of fixed wire testing and portable appliance testing.
Responsibilities
Undertake a full range of craftsman duties as directed by the supervisor, Interpret and be responsible for the upkeep of services and building drawings located in the O & M manuals, Use specialist engineering instruments for test and measurement purposes, Assemble and install services for building plant and equipment, Undertake routine plumbing and fitting planned maintenance tasks in line with the maintenance programme and individual skills set, Interrogate and make necessary adjustments to the computerised building management system to control the internal environmental conditions and to support the energy management delivery, Undertake repairs and ensure appropriate records maintained for statutory requirements, Participate in emergency call out rota, Implement and comply with the company procedures including Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, Adopt a flexible approach to work and hours of work, Ability to work as part of a team and also able to work in autonomous and professional manner. Undertake service and maintenance on gas heating and boiler systems.
